What is ReadySetRecycle.com?

We are entertainment industry professionals who are appalled to see thousands of tons of scenery, props and costumes ending up in landfill every year.

So… we’ve created ReadySetRecycle.com, a  website where industry professionals can list such items for sale (or giveaway).

Basic listings (one item per listing) are free.

The site will pay its bills through banner ads

Currently the site is set up to serve  Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and now Glasgow!

People are listing, and that's great! But we need to keep the ball rolling, so please...

List something!

We are beginning a promotion campaign to get eyeballs on your listings.

And we’ll keep priming the pump till the site reaches critical mass.

This might not happen right away, but we’re determined to keep at it till it works because we want to stop the waste ASAP.

Our hope (and dream) is that Ready Set Recycle will help to green the entertainment industry.

Currently we are seeking reps for our New York and Los Angeles sites.

Our intention is to have a ReadySetRecycle.com in as many cities as possible – wherever show business is a going concern. To make this happen we are seeking local partnerships, or as we are calling them, our “City Reps”.

As a “City Rep” we offer you an opportunity to profit from our paid listing options: Click here to view them. You will receive up to 80% of what you make. As a city rep you will also share in the sale of any banner ads you sell in your city. You will be paid 40% of any banner ad you sell, plus you will receive 20% of any banner ad renewals after the first year for one year.In addition, as a City Rep, you will receive a free banner ad for you or your company on ReadySetRecycle.com.

 The responsibilities of a City Rep are…

 Ø      Manage and monitor the site for your city, make certain all postings are inline with our site rules and terms of use.

Ø      Perform checks on all new registered users to make certain their email address is valid and they are not a known spammer.

Ø      Market the site to the best of your ability, to all industry personnel and the general public.

Ø      Spread the word about Ready Set Recycle to all production houses and studios in your city.

Ø      Be available to answer any queries from the public via phone or email.

Ø      Own you own digital camera with software for loading pictures to the site.

Ø      Own a registered business to carry out all transactions with Ready Set Recycle.

All City Reps will be required to enter into a contract with the parent company of ReadySetRecycle.com: TheOctopusWorks.com. Note: This is a commission only contact.
